I’ve always loved working with fabric and finding ways to turn simple ideas into something beautiful. Cottage by Barbara grew from my enjoyment of sewing and decorating, and from wanting a place to share the projects, stories, and ideas that have inspired me over the years.
One of my favorite parts of decorating is choosing fabrics and colors that work beautifully together. I enjoy imagining how a handmade piece will look in a room and seeing it become part of the space.
I’m especially drawn to Northwoods- inspired designs, with their cozy fabric, warm colors, trees, and wildlife. Whether I’m working with simple checks, scalloped edges, or adding buttons and other finishing touches, it’s those little details that give each piece its own personality.
